Star Field: Digital Asset

StarField is a digital asset for simulation, VR, and game developers. The SkyDome is available in Autodesk Maya (.mb) format or as a Universal Scene Description (.usd) asset. An inward-facing textured sphere depicts the night sky with unprecedented realism and detail in full High-Dynamic-Range (HDR) via textures that are in the professional-grade EXR format. Generated from real data of the night sky, the textures can be down-sampled for real-time applications.

Add realistic HDR detail to games, simulations, and VR applications via this ultra-detailed sky-dome and texture set. Available in Universal Scene Descriptor (USD) and Autodesk Maya binary format, textures are in the professional (open) image format EXR. • Technical Summary: Resolution is 128k x 64k pixels in 128 x 64 tiles (1024x1024 pixels per tile) wrapped to a latitude/longitude sphere. Pixels are 16-bit (half float) RGBA.
